EmeryStation Plaza: 383,716 sf     No. Stories: 5 stories
EmeryStation North: 200,000 sf     No. Stories: 6 stories

EmeryStation Plaza is a mixed-use complex that includes a multi-modal transit center, offices, retail, and housing units. A working example of smart-growth and transit-oriented development, the composition of the building design incorporates key aspects of livability. The EmeryStation North building accommodates office space, ground floor retail of 200,000 gsf and parking over 6-stories. As part of the larger development of on the 10.64-acre site, the EmeryStation North building utilizes the palette of the EmeryStation Plaza structure at a smaller scale. This development project takes advantage of the nearby Emeryville Amtrak Station for transportation and transit related purposes. This site demonstrates successful usage of multifaceted spatial connectivity – with parking access concealed at the base of each building, a network of open and usable public spaces, atriums that serve as winter gardens, and available meeting places for casual and community events. A pedestrian bridge linking Emeryville in the east and west parts of the city provides a unifying element for the entire master plan and a vital link across the Bay Area’s most intense railroad corridor.
