Guangzhou Textile Industry and Trade Complex

Guangzhou, China

Guangzhou Textile Industry and Trade Complex is a mixed use commercial center with over 650,000 square meters of office, hotel, retail and apartment uses. The centerpiece of the development is a fourth floor covered shopping arcade with sunken plaza that connects directly to the Guangzhou metro. Built using sustainable principles, the retail arcade design allows for open-air shopping, is topped with a green roof that reduces heat gain, and locates all parking underground to maximize livability for nearby residents. The apartment and loft office uses are designed in three towers that range from 150 meters to 200 meters in height, blending with the adjacent development. The hotel and office uses are located in matching 250-meter-tall towers with views of the Pearl River and the South Axis Central Greenway.
