275 Sacramento
Located in one of the Financial District’s historic conservation districts, this project seamlessly integrates the historic look of its context while fulfilling the needs of a modern commercial building. Although 275 Sacramento does not portray the appearance of a renovated landmark building, it does incorporate rich details on the facade, using visual elements characteristic of the neighborhood. The building façade is composed of brick pilasters and large windows, evocative of an early 20th-century style when most of the buildings in the district were built. The fenestration on the upper levels is a contemporary interpretation of regional bay windows. The detailing of the project infuses a contemporary interpretation of classic brick detailing. The building’s first level of brick rustication with a limestone base reinforces the importance of the Front Street corridor streetwall and reinforces the pedestrian character. This seven-story building consists of 92,740 square feet, with 16,000 square feet of street-level retail space, 63,000 square feet of Class “A” office space, and one basement level which includes 15 parking stalls.
