911 Emergency Communications Center

Located at the center of Jefferson Square in San Francisco’s Civic Center District, the 911 Emergency Communications Center (911 Center) contains 55,000 sf of dispatch, training, support, and administrative space. The 911 Center was designed as a comprehensive and essential service facility, with building systems that can accommodate everyday emergencies as well as Zone 5 seismic events. A Computer-Aided Dispatch/Records Management System provides 911 call evaluation and dispatch for police, fire, parking, traffic, and emergency medical services. The complex also houses the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Services, the Emergency Command Center, and related support facilities for the Department of Electricity and Telecommunications.
