Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority Administration Building

The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) Building is a new two-story, 22,000 sf facility housing administrative offices on one wing and Operations Offices on the other wing. There is a central entry lobby and circulation spine with clearstory windows which connects and integrates both wings of the building. Beyond offices, there are also a dispatch center, driver support areas, kitchen, gym, paratransit operations, storage, support spaces, restrooms, and circulation. The building incorporates sustainable features including unique window solar shading and natural daylight penetration through the central clerestory windows.  LAVTA used the Design-Build delivery method to aid in meeting their project time and budget targets.  We worked with LAVTA to provide schematic design and design development bridging documents.

LAVTA is the public transit service in the Tri-Valley Region (southeast Alameda County) of the San Francisco Bay Area.  It provides equal access to a variety of safe, affordable, and reliable public transportation choices, increasing the mobility and improving the quality of life of those who live, work, and visit the area.  These include bus connections to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) and Central Contra County Transportation Authority (County Connection).
