Menlo Gateway | Independence

Menlo Gateway anchors a vibrant urban village on 16 acres of land at the northeast intersection of Highway 101 and Marsh Road in Menlo Park California. The project was completed in two phases regenerating an existing dated industrial park and created an office complex that reflects Menlo Park's location as the iconic gateway to the greater Silicon Valley and its revitalized business and residential community.  Phase 1 is called Menlo Gateway - Independence and Phase 2 is called Menlo Gateway - Constitution.

The project includes one office building totaling 200,000 sf, one parking garage with a total of 1,040 spaces, and a 42,000-sf fitness center located on the ground level of the parking garage facing Independence Drive. The curved façade of the office building faces Highway 101 and provides an iconic gateway entry form to the development.  A spacious roof terrace is located on the top floor and has expansive views to San Francisco Bay.  Cuningham Group was the architect for the 250-room Hotel Nia in which we coordinated integrating into the overall master plan for Phase 1.  Sustainability and green materials are integral elements of the design with the office building having LEED Gold accreditation.

The spacious grounds include landscape open space, walkways, plazas and bike lanes. Watry Design was the executive architect for the parking garage and fitness center.  The parking garage shear walls were uniquely designed with dichroic glass and metal public art sculptures by Don Rich Studios. Menlo Gateway establishes a powerful new model for 21st-century service and technology businesses.
