Fortinet Parking Structure 1

The Fortinet Parking Structure 1 is a four-and-a-half-story, 164,000 square-foot open parking structure within the City of Sunnyvale. Located just northwest of the existing 899 Kifer Road building, the Project replaces 249 existing surface spaces with 520 new parking structure spaces, for a total of 271 additional spaces. The Project accommodates parking demand at Fortinet’s Corporate Headquarters, which is comprised of the Fortinet HQ Building (909 Kifer Road), the 899 Kifer Road Building, and the building at 180 North Wolfe Road. 182 of the parking spaces are provided with Level 2 EV charging stations while another 182 spaces are EV capable.

The Project is set back from the Central Expressway with a landscaping visual buffer located between the Expressway and the north side of the parking structure. Vertical airfoil-shaped fins are used on the north elevation to visually screen the parking structure openings from drivers on the Central Expressway. The Project includes a bicycle room, outdoor bicycle racks, rooftop PV panels, landscaping, multi-use trails, streetscape, and stormwater drainage improvements.  Accessible pedestrian access between the Project and the 899 Kifer, 909 Kifer and 180 N Wolfe buildings are provided via elevators and stairs within the parking structure and marked pedestrian pathways outside of the Project connecting to each of the building entries.
