Menlo Gateway | Constitution
Menlo Gateway anchors a vibrant urban village on 16 acres of land at the northeast intersection of Highway 101 and Marsh Road in Menlo Park California. The project was completed in two phases regenerating an existing dated industrial park and created an office complex that reflects Menlo Park's location as the iconic gateway to the greater Silicon Valley and its revitalized business and residential community. Phase 1 is called Menlo Gateway - Independence and Phase 2 is called Menlo Gateway - Constitution.
The project includes two office buildings totaling 500,000 sf and two parking garages with a total of 1,518 spaces. The undulating curved facades of both office buildings facing the Bayfront Expressway symbolize the waves forming over San Francisco Bay. A unique pedestrian sky bridge at the 4th and 6th levels connects the two office buildings and spans over the entry plaza open space. The bridge provides convenient access between the buildings and increases the floor area for a single-tenant use. Roof terraces are located on the top floor of each building and have expansive views of San Francisco Bay. Sustainability and green materials are integral elements of the design with the office buildings having LEED Gold accreditation.
The spacious grounds include landscape open space, walkways, plazas and bike lanes. Watry Design was the executive architect for the parking garages. The parking garage shear walls were uniquely designed with dichroic glass and metal public art sculptures by Don Rich Studios. Menlo Gateway establishes a powerful new model for 21st-century service and technology businesses.
