Guangzhou North Station and Surrounding Area Urban Design Competition

The theme of urban design is "flower flow gold", guided by sustainable livable development. The goals of the project are to put forward Chuanghua Huadu, bus-centric city, livable communities, ecological neighborhoods, and human-scale streets. An important aspect of creating a functional plan for the northern region of Guangzhou is integrating a transport hub with pedestrian and auto needs and uses. Low-carbon emissions and public transportation are priorities for the traffic planning guidelines, and the design emphasizes the separation of vehicles and traffic diversion. North Station area will lead the city to upgrade towards industrial transformation and guide business prosperity in Guangzhou Huadu District.
